Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Orange at 2010 AIMS

Mercedes-Benz has revealed the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Jaffa Concept at the AIMS, Darling Harbour. The car is based on the already-ballistic Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG V8 small sedan, only this, has even more power.

And more go-fast technology, too. The special Jaffa edition is garnished in Performance Package Plus options such as the composite brakes, a carbon fibre lip spoiler - similar to the one on the CLK63 AMG Black Edition - as well as an Alcantara-covered AMG sports steering wheel.

Making up the 'Jaffa' aspects of the car is the obvious orange paint work, but there's also minor interior trimmings also don in orange, perpetuating the orange, and black everything-else, theme. These contrasting details extend as far as the stitching throughout the interior which uses orange thread.

It's under the bonnet where the most appealing enhancements are though. The AMG Jaffa still features the 6.2-litre V8 as seen in the normal C63, but in this the engine is tuned to produce 358kW (instead of the 336kW). This means the car is capable of accelerating from 0-100km/h in just 4.4 seconds and go onto an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h. The engine also gets uprated forged pistons like the ones used in the SLS AMG Gullwing supercar.

No word yet as to whether the car is available in Australia yet. We'd certainly like one.
