2010 Peugeot RCZ Asphalt edition images and details

By Brett Davis |

Peugeot has just released details of the upcoming special edition Peugeot RCZ Asphalt. This will be the second special edition Peugeot will launch based on the brand new Peugeot RCZ.

The RCZ Asphalt edition gets a kind of stealth makeover in the form of black or matte black features including new 19 inch alloy wheels and bespoke ‘Asphalt’ black leather interior. The entire car is also painted in the fashionably European matte black/dark gray paint.

Underneath the bonnet there are no changes, but it still features the already-sporty 1.6-litre turbocharged four cylinder engine, outputting a decent 147kW.

Peugeot is producing just 500 of the RCZ Asphalt editions, meaning this rare example of the cool Peugeot RCZ will sell fast. Prices are yet to be announced.

Check out the full review and road test of the standard RCZ for more details.

I’m a fan of the matte black look.
I’m a fan of the RCZ.
And I want to like this and sort of do but from that first image the front just seems a bit off in matte black.
Not sure why but it just doesn’t look quite right.

The problem with this car is the 1.6l engine.
2.0l Turbo engine would be great!

But it’s the same 1.6L turbo in the Mini Cooper S… So I’m going to assume you can do what they have done with the S Works engine, plus more…

I remember reading that there also is a diesel and low output engine all the same price… -_-”

The matt finish in those images are CGI just by looking at the contract and tone on the roof pillars.

    RCZ is heaven

These RCZ’s are one of the best looking cars on the road. Only available in FWD so its never going to be an option for me.

Yes, it does look like it’s covered in Asphalt. Great job.
