How the hell can a car with only 260kw & 510nm beat a car with 302kw & 540nm???
And not to mention the handling of the VZ HSV was crap compared to the GT. The Holden is so un-refined compared to the Ford.

Mmmm Biscuits… MMM TINS!!! Munch Munch V8’s for lunch is about the only thing that comes to mind when someone mentions F6 Typhoon to me. Ford has done very well with the inaugral Force Fed 6. How ever the VE is a revolutionary car when put in HSV trim. I am a ford man myself but i never over look or bag a good car. I can and will appreciate a good car. Ford needs to pull out all the stops this time. The public are waiting for it. Ford is hoping for it. This is do or die time basically. No room for failure. Here’s to hoping guys. As for the photo’s. From what i can see it looks quite good, ( i just found the commar on my keyboard) but with all the Bra’s on its quite hard to tell exactly what its going to look like. As for our famous single minded ford bashing holdenwoo fans out there, the only thing to gain from bagging a car which hasn’t been released is you looking quite the fool. mmm biscuits…

umm the 290kw gt.. the vz ss was 0-100 in 5.7secs.. and i seen the gt was 0-100 in 5.9.. heap of shit.. and yeah the vz hsv had shit steering but ayy look the ve’s steering, its alot better now then the falcon.
goog i think you need to go to holden forums….. of course the Ve is going to be better it is a whole 12 monts at least haead in development…. when the orion comes out it will be a whole different ball game.
and let me tell you its a testament to ford that there aging ford still matches it with the VE in driving dynamics…..
I thought this Goog guy was starting to mellow……doesn’t seem it!I don’t know where you got your specs from on the 290 Boss,but there wrong! Anyway who cares…..it depends who was driving them at the time how many ks were on the engine….ect ect.Not to mention reaction time for the driver,.2 of a second is nothing . As far as the steering and handling yeah maybe the New VE is better than the current BF but it sure did take Holden a long time to even match Ford system and thanks to BMW Holden finally managed to improve it. I wouldn’t brag too much mate….not yet cause from what I have been told the new Orion is going to be another benchmark Holden will have to meet!

You got it wrong, the GT is not 290 anymore, its 302 and I’m finding it hard that a car with only 260kw can beat a car with 302Kw, which you said before.

Everyone knows the Ve is a better vehicle at the min, im sure ford has spent enough time perfecting this model that it should be at least as good as the Ve!
I think the ford 8 is as good as the 6 litre…. have you guys ever driven one, its smooth and responsive and its known to be as capable power wise as the HSV, people have proven it!
All you holden guys should go out and drive the BF with the 302 engine, its as good as the holden v8 in my opinion!

But when we bring up the Turbo 6 u just go on and on about how it aint a V8 and it has a torbo. So what you jsut say that because it whooped the ass off any australian car until the new VE GTS came and even then it was still only marginally behind, so what do you think will happen mid way through next year when we see “real life” times from shows like top gear n not stupid magazines loke wheels or motor.

Tonyn, I’ve driven the 290kW GT, but not the 302. I’m sure it is better, but I think HSV still have the edge, 0-100 anyway. I’m looking forward to the Orion, and I’m hoping it will go well beyond the current BF and HSV.

i neva said fords a bad motor company i just said that there v8s that they have at this moment of time in the bf’s are not as powerful as they should be.. but we cant really say anything about the orion until we hear more about it, like a few weeks out or maybe even when its realeased, its just 2 early to start predicting how good it will be.. thats all me and JBOT are saying..
