2012 BMW M6 Convertible Spy Photos
We've already seen the all-new BMW 6 Series in its near complete form, so it's no surprise to see that the BMW M6 Convertible is also going through its extensive testing phase at Germany's famous Nurburgring race track.
The photos show the new M6 Convertible still sporting the standard front bumper, nonetheless the bigger wheels, brakes and the signature M-style quad exhaust pipes give it all away.
BMW has switched from the V10 engine found in previous generation M5/M6 to a twin-turbo V8 setup based on the 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 currently found in the BMW X5 M and X6 M.
The engine in the X series Ms makes 408 kW of power and 680 Nm of torque, sources say the M5/M6 is expected to make a little more than that, which means the M5/M6 may have over 700 Nm of torque!
Additionally, given that it wil surely weigh less than the X series SUVs, it's going to be hard to miss the V10.
Bring on the M5/M6 please.
