Audi’s latest advertising campaign, called ‘The Audi Spectacle’, hopes to take billboard signage to an all-new level, literally. Audi’s ad gurus, Access Agency, want to hang huge ‘Audi rings’ below international landmarks including Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Although the campaign is just in concept mode at the moment, Audi is aiming to have real cars sitting inside the rings and dangle the entire four platforms from bridges like a giant spectacle. Bridges on the wish list include the Brooklyn Bridge in New York, Tower Bridge in London and the Rialto Bridge in Venice, as well as our own Sydney Harbour Bridge.

But is placing advertising on our treasured landmarks taking things too far though? We’re not sure, but Audi is presenting the campaign to decision-makers as well as the public to get their reaction on the idea and hopes to get the go-ahead.

If it does pass, it’ll surely be one of the most widespread and popular automotive ad campaigns of all time. Attracting both positive and negative attention.
