We’ve no idea about the 0-100km/h times, or the lateral Gs they can pull, but who cares. Just look at them!

Guy on the forums has just posted something about meeting Whincup…..said he was a really nice guy,some other guys waited and an hour and a half for Tannder to come out of his trailer and sign some stuff……when he finally did he didn’t say a word to them!!As he said WANKER!!!

that must be a bit of a credit to DJR if 888 want to use their engines.
DJR has always been renowned for their engines. they have always proven (even in their sad years) at bathurst they know how to extract HP and build a strong engine.
one notable moment that keeps flooding back is bathurst ‘99. that was an awesome display of raw horse power out of the DJR mobile. it was like the big falcons V the Toranas of the years gone by.
so does that mean that DJR are going to be using 888 chassis? id reckon their would be such arrangement. if so then things are looking very promising for DJR to be a very worthy contender for the championship once again.
and also couple that with the fact they will actually have some money next year

DJR already use 888 suspension! So there cars will be the same…….just different drivers.

The chairs look great but the colors need batteries. The Ford chairs were better!

do DJR use the full chassis set up of 888? 888 just came up with a new roll cage for eg so do they share the whole kit or still just the suspension?
what do you mean have DJR been struggling financially? my bloody oath they have. in the dying days of Shell, Shell were reducing their money quite a bit. then westpoint offered buggerall in ‘05 aswell. then in ‘06 Dick pretty much sponsored the cars himself with his other companies. he couldnt even sponsor both for the full year so half way through you will remember the #18 of davison adopted a new sponsor and livery.
then at the end of 2006 dick even had a radio appeal to try and find a new sponsor!!!!!!!!
i remember i just rocked up to work and had to sit in the car and listen.
then 07 came and they got a hold of Jim Beam and the prospect of some dollars to actually go racing with.
when ever Stevie gets a microphone thrown at him he will tell you the most exciting thing about ‘08 for them is they will finally have some money to go racing with. so by the back half of ‘08 you should se a very competitive and strong DJR once again!!!!!!
lets hope for 2 spots better at bathurst next year for them.
yeah brighty must just be trying to extract more from a car that just doesnt have it at the moment. its what happens when you have an excellent driver in middle class machinery. they tend to drive it herder cause they know they should be up the front.
britek will get better though especially with a very focused owner such as brighty. i applaud such a team where they strive to do everything for themselves. i really hope he gets there
Hey Watto………..I keep missing you! Will be on late Friday night so maybe get to chat then. You got your Chrissy card? They were popular chairs……Ford don’t do enough merchandising! Were currently making little Retro Kids chairs in PVC Bright Red and Pink……….real popular,Thinking of approaching FORD AND HOLDEN to see if there interested in doing a branded version,obviously would have to do a Ford Blue one! Did make a FPV GT for them once…..have a Black and a blood orange one! Also had a HRT Foot to floor ride on for Holden…….only Skaffie thing in the house…….but never went a head with either project!! Problem was the units required was too high for Australia to absorb from our calculations!

Rocked up to work ………Ill pardon that pun hehehe!!888 must really think that DJR build better stuff than SBR or Dick has done a real good sell job!!I had been under the impression they had been doing well…financially!! Gee Dick is looking old ha ,must be that QLD sun they say if you want to preserve something you put it in the Fridge not the oven!!! No idea then why so many oldies end up there! I have to pick a new hero for next year as I have been banded from the Ford crowd at Barbagello if I go for Russ! Im thinking Winterbottom…..

Poor old Brighty such a sweet guy ……was doing SOOOO well last year at FPR …..we all have bad years I guess ,I am hoping with his new cars he will get things sorted.

yeah ive seen the Kelly to JDR official but not the tander release yet.
yeah every one loves the under dog and also the history and heritage of the oldest and most winning V8 team in the field. couple that with them being QLDers and also a privately owned team and then you have an in sight into my reasoning. i was on to them when they were winning so i have worn them on my sleeve right through their bad times too.
yeah you better believe they have just gone through some very bad financial times and their results were pretty much a mirror of that, cause we all know in that game $$$$ means performance.
although if you put a $ to position ratio on the teams i bet DJR would be pretty much on top

they are usually pretty good at finding young talent. the best find was Ambrose and i wouldnt expect Courtney to lay low for too much longer
