Porsche Cayenne 902 Coupe by Merdad with 560kW

By Brett Davis |

A Porsche Cayenne you might actually want? The crazy guys at Merdad have turned the somewhat ugly Porsche Cayenne wagon into quite a nice looking… well, it’s not really a coupe, and it’s not exactly a family hatch… stealth machine. That’s what we’ll call it.

The British tuning company owner, known as Merdad, apparently worked with Uwe Gemballa and his internationally recognised Porsche tuning company for five years before setting up his own show in the UK; so he ought to know a thing or two about Porsches. And he does by the looks of this. Merdad recently said in a statement,

“We are very proud that this creation has brought together many British engineers and designers who have contributed to bringing this fantastic beast to the table.”

Cutting up a brand new Porsche takes some courage but that’s exactly what the Merdad group do. By shortening the Cayenne wagon it not only makes it lighter, but also more rigid and above all, better looking.

Under the bonnet Merdad treatment also can be arranged as they do tuning packages which range from offering 410kW to 560kW. The 560kW version is said to be capable of doing the 0-100km/h sprint in just 4.4 seconds, making it one of the fastest off-road vehicles you can buy.

What do you think, does the coupe-shape rid the typical Cayenne ugliness?

    I love it!

  • Jabba the Hutt

I personally wouldn’t describe the original as ugly. Perhaps a little awkward. This one looks very nice but is useless in our archaic country where the speed limits pander to revenue.

Actually i just saw a Cayenne today parked on the side of the road. As I walked past I did think to myself what a tragic looking car. Calling it ugly is being too kind.

Coincidentally I am sure, the anti spam word is Subaru. Case in point really…

  • Shak

I cant believe im saying this, but it is kinda appealing to me. I dont no why.

    • My Cars Called T-Rex

I agree its totally impractical, but I like it.It sort of looks like its alot smaller in the pics, like Outlander size.

  • nickdl

    Pretty redundant IMO.

Impractical and slow and cumbersome compared to a 911 Turbo which would probably be cheaper.

  • Baaron

good things come in small packages!

  • j

With wheels like that, I don’t think anyone will take it off road.

  • Baddass

How many more unknown tuners want to have a crack at making a faster Cayenne?

  • myf20c

now why couldnt porsche do this in the first place?!

  • ABMPSV

It is all OK but I prefer sedan or hatch because when to comes to corners horsepower does not help.

  • Car Fanatic

It actually looks good, Porsche should build a super hatch, AWD golf sized hatch with the 300kw GTS engine. That would be cocked!

i think the tunned x6m’s look better

  • Car Fanatic

No X6M looks good no matter what you do to it. It’s BMW’s ugly kid no matter what it wears.

  • Bob

It looks great to me, but I don’t mind the original!
