I must admit, the Panamera isn’t much of a looker (yes it does look like a stretched 911), but that’s not what’ll make it sell…ITS A PORSCHE FOR GODS SAKE!!! besides, haven’t you all heard of “porsche DNA”? the 911 hasn’t changed its basic shape for over 40 years, and all porsches adhere to it’s design in one form or another. From what i gather in the spy shots, the duck-bill nose and frog tail are all on the panamera; plus, image-power, rock-solid reliability and resale rates keep me a porsche fan

there were a few 456 ferrari 4 door wagons built by pininfarina in the 90’s – looked horrible but better than this porsche.

Anyone else notice the tiny little exhaust pipes??

The Aston Martin Rapide (although basically drawn from the DB9) looks absolutely stunning; I’m afraid this will look totally contrived in comparison.

What is Porsche doing to themselves??

This is just my opinion, I like Porsche. But the current shape is getting out-dated. This is just a new sports sedan, but the whole shape is old.

The styling seems a bit bland, but overall they should sell well enough to add some profit to the firm. After all, profit is the point of the operation, a point which seems to escape some people.

Porsche has every reason to be optimistic, since 40% of its sales are coming from the Cayenne, and these would all be new business.

i think it will look quite good…. the problem is, and frugal one i cant understand your point, is if they designed it in a different shape then you would be crying saying it went away from porsches heritage…. i think it is good to see companys diversifying, i think it will look great!

from memory i think porsche have a had a couple of goes at a 4 door with a 928 prototype built by amg in 86′ and a 989 in 88′neither making it to production – so i guess the concept has been in the “to do” category for a couple of decades.

a 4 DOOR porsche coupe! whats the point if your buying a porsche you want the real thing.. hasnt the cayenne done anough damage to there high performance image already???
