Ahead of its official debut at the Essen Motor Show in Germany later this week, Volkswagen has released images of its Tiguan R-Line model.

This is Volkswagen’s second journey into the SUV R-Line range, preceded by the phenomenal 850Nm Touareg R50 torque-beast which made its debut at the Australian International Motor Show earlier this year.

Specifications are yet to be released, however the images show unique wheels, a revised front and R-Line badging, expect an update in the coming week.

“SUV R-Line range, preceded by the phenomenal 850Nm Touareg R50″
R50, R32 are not part of R-Line, and you don\’t call S4/RS4 a S-Line vehicle. R-Line/S-Line = Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancement(RICE).

Some journos and car salesmen have a lot to answer for, haven’t they All Cars? It would be interesting to have it confirmed that “R-Line” is VW’s designation or something the good site owners here coined.
How many times do you look at the used car rags and see a Commodore S Pack? S Pack? There was never one. You could buy a Commodore S or a Commodore SS.
