General Motors to use OnStar audio Facebook and texting technology

Keen Facebook fans will be pleased to hear General Motors is working on producing in-car technology that allows users/drivers to update their Facebook status through the use of Audio Facebook voice recordings.

The OnStar technology template could allow such things a voice texting through a mobile phone Bluetooth system too, once synced with the on-board OnStar application. The system is said to be capable of reading out received text messages as well as interpret voice recordings and transcribe them into text.

General Motors hasn’t released the official details and capabilities of the system but apparently the company will unveil the technology in the next few days. We’ll keep you updated.

    This will end in so many crashes. You try to talking to someone when they are engrossed in facebook, now imagine that person driving at the same time.

    I really think something is wrong with the GM’s management. They need to be focusing on their cars quality, reliability etc on most of their brands.
