Citroen DS4 Racing rumoured

Although there's been no official confirmation of this, the DS4 Racing would go nicely up against the Volkswagen Golf GTI and the Renault Megane Sport more appropriately than the Citroen DS3 Racing. Going by these images, plans to develop the car seem fairly enticing.

Rumours say the DS4 Racing will debut at the Paris Motor Show in October but say the car won't actually hit the market until 2013. We think this is a bit far-fetched as by the time that comes around it'll be already outdated.

Reports from Europe also say Citroen is working on a HYbrid4 platform to go with the car, too, matching that on the Peugeot RCZ launched last week. Power would come from a 1.6-litre turbocharged four cylinder outputting 150kW, backed up by an electric motor.

We'll just have to wait for the Paris Show to come round for any confirmation.
