2010 Bentley Continental GT facelift

Bentley has updated the somewhat old-looking Bentley Continental GT with a new, sharper and more elegant design. There's also more power on offer from the W-12 engine, now flex-fuel compatible.

You'll notice the bodywork is much sharper than the existing model, especially around the headlights, front and rear guards as well as the boot lid. That is because Bentley has used something called aluminium Super Forming manufacturing to form these panels, meaning sharper lines and finer attention to detail.

Attention to detail also plays part inside the cabin where there's even more hand-crafted details than the existing model. The car gets a new dashboard, 'Cobra' seats and a new touch screen infotainment system.

Bentley also say there's more room in the back due to the 'Cobra' seat design.

Under the bonnet there's further revisions. The twin-turbo W-12 is now E85 compatible, which means the car can produce less emissions. The engine also provides 423kW instead of 411kW and 700Nm instead of 650Nm.

The new Continental also comes with optional 21 inch wheels, LED lights front and rear and a 40:60 torque-split of the all-wheel drive system - as opposed to the previous 50:50 split offered in the current model.

Expect to see this new model in Australian showrooms very soon.
