Audi TT-RS by ABT Sportsline
The world’s best Audi/Volkswagen tuner is the Bavaria based ABT Sportsline and their latest creation takes Audi’s highly commendable TT-RS from a sports car to a supercar.
Try 0-100km/h in 4 seconds and a top speed of 292km/h if you go for the POWER S version, or 0-100km/h in 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 282km/h if you choose the lessor POWER upgrade.
To put these numbers into some perspective, the standard TT-RS is no slouch with its 0-100km/h time of 4.6 seconds and top speed of 282km/h. It’s a quick bit of kit no matter how you look at it.
CarAdvice was lucky enough to test several ABT Sportsline powered cars last year in Germany, including the R8, S5 and supercharged Golf R32 with all cars performing like nothing else we have ever driven in each of their prospective classes. ‘Fast’, just doesn’t do these guys enough justice.
But it’s even better than that. ABT tune their cars so that despite the significant extra ‘kick’ from the right pedal, the drive experience is just as friendly and comfortable as the stock factory version. ABT are big on reliability too, so their tuning programs are designed to offer the highest levels of day-to-day reliability, which is important to any buyer and the key reason why the company has been in business for over 100 years.
