2010 Honda Jazz in funny new advertisements

By Brett Davis |

Honda Australia’s marketing and advertising departments have released a bunch of new ads designed to promote the room of the new Jazz in a humorous way.

The ads mock some of the latest trends and stereotypes currently in fashion, such as bodybuilding, martial arts and hipster trends; ‘How much Massive can you pack in a Jazz?’, ‘How much Ninja can you pack in a Jazz?’ and ‘How much Hipster can you pack in a Jazz?’.

They’re quite funny and step away from Honda’s usually innovative-focused ads:

  • G

    Ninja is the best!!!!!!

  • Bob

How about “How can you get Stability Control in a Jazz?”

  • Jumbo

You can get stability control in a jazz by waiting another 4 months

    • The Salt

      WELL behind the ball, Honda…

    • Yonny

Yeah, two years too late. Should have been available on the Jazz from day one.

  • Gan Tan

Sad isn’t it? You can get stability control in a Suzuki Alto or Hyundai Getz, but not a Honda Jazz

    • G

What’s wrong with the Alto and Getz?
They are small cars just like the Jazz, so I don’t get what you are trying to say. Is it because they are cheaper? This only shows how overpriced the Jazz is.

    i want a ninja outfit!

  • valet dabess

stability control… man it makes it sound like you guys don’t know how to drive. do you drive enthusiastically in the rain or something

  • Gav

Love the ads, though have they just offended the majority of their Melbourne based market with the Hipster dig?

  • Radbloke

The ads are pretty funny but it doesn’t make this car worth buying. Lift your game Honda.

  • Reckless1

    Good ads, poor product.

Compared to new Polo – the worst ad ever, best product.

    Go figure.

  • Jo

No thanks Honda. Jazz = over priced & under specced

I’d take a Korean any day and pocket the 6k or so…

  • LJS

Did you post the wrong ads? These ARE meant to be funny right?

    It’s your boy Bangs!

Funny it happened that I just washed and polished a Jazz and a Getz today. And I noticed some difference between the two cars.

Being of the same year model 2006, Jazz’s paint and interior quality is just so much better than Getz. simply put Getz feels a lot cheaper than Jazz in every single way.

Jazz is a bit too expensive in my opinion too, but at least its for good reasons.

And to whoever said alto and jazz r the same size… please research before you comment.

Stop stupid funny ads improve on your car. Where is stability control you are the leading Japanese company. Improve on your engines. Look at VW Polo 1.2TSI excellent engine it was voted one of the Best New Engine of 2010. Jazz auto gearbox is much worse than before. Even CA had a bad comment that is jumping in and out of 5th gear. I hope next Jazz will be better otherwise I am switching to Skoda Fabia 1.2TSI or 1.4TSi. In New Zealand you can buy it already.

Honda, forget the clever ads, where is stability control and realistic pricing? The Jazz is a very good car in terms of space utilization, one on the best. This package is marred by a lack of stability control, high prices for the VTIS, and the use of a torque converter auto when the previous model had a highly efficient CVT. I’m afraid we are down on the list of spec choice as Thai built Hondas are aimed at nth America. For now the Polo is the small car king.

Just bought a Jazz, great car for it’ build quality, reliability and space considrations. Drive’s very well. Have no issue’s with VW, Peugeot and other good Euro cars, but for those cheapskates here who would prefer a ‘korean’ small car, be my guest.

What’s happening with Honda these days? It’s fallen so far down the sales chart (9th behind Subaru) despite ground-breaking mainstream products like the Jazz, Civic and Accord, innovative products like Insight, Civic Hybrid & Odyssey, performance icons like Civic & Integra Type R, S2000, NSX. I’ve noticed that the main buyers of new Hondas these days are Asian or of Asian origins. Understandably, Honda has very strong brand equity in Asia & that although, they are more expensive than equivalent Japanese brands – they have a strong following due to their racing and engineering background! In Australia, Honda has a different audience – one that is more grounded and price-value-specification conscious. Wake up, Honda!
