Hmmm, actually, I’d guess GT3 has the ring but I doubt it has that particular car.

Hey Andrew M. Yep I have V8SC3 too for PC and force-feedback wheel. Very good. I’ve played through the whole V8 Championship (by far largest in the game) with everything on (full laps, qualifying, 2 and 3 race format at rounds that had them, the full 161 laps at Sandown and Bathurst). Takes about 24 hours. That was fun.

I didn’t know V8SC3 had the ring? I only ever played our domestic motorsport (plus quick fang in karts) on that game via multiplayer, but haven’t played through the world championship. Will have to dust it off.

Never played GT3 so I couldn’t tell ya. I’ve been hooked on GT4 though, can’t wait for GT5, as I said, hoping it’ll have more Aussie cars and Bathurst.

If you have a go at Seton’s AU XR8 round the ring on super-hard tyres, lemme know what time you got please? I’m pretty sure 06:53.085 is a very good time. With a perfect lap I think I could only go 1 sec quicker.

Yeah priellis are overrated. last car i had em on worn very quick as expected.
next i had Dunlop 3000A’s (the factory ford tyre) and they were just as great until they wore out in no time at all.

hey does anyone else have trouble with edge wear? the main thing that goes is the edges. one technician asked if i went through many round abouts when i complained about it.
i didnt know they were only good for 20,000ks or 12 round abouts which ever comes first.

the hire karts still hit 100k/h. thats fast enough for joyriders.

nah i never have broken a controller i am a very calm cool headed person and never show frustration

Competitive ha……..,so how many hand controls have you been through? I think my sons have gone through 10 over the years cause when they get annoyed they throw them on the ground…then hammer it into the carpet! Geez its only a game!

I had a couple of gos at the karts but there a little slow the rent a ones….you can hire the fast karts here but there expensive ……..at Barbagello so that could be fun!

Last time I went out I was a bit weary cause 2 days beforehand I had come a cropper around a corner in the M3 and ended up backwards avoiding a tree by about 600mm from my door scared the crap out of me……..tyres had gone off on the back although plenty of tread ……since replaced the pirelis,there over rated anyway!

Yes, V8 Supercars3 is a massive game. I thought it was just V8 Supercars, but it has all the major categories from all over the world that I never knew existed aswell.

as i said i havent played it for ages. but doesnt mean im too old for it. im a pretty competitive sort of person when it comes to motorsport games. i really buckle down in getting a lap time and trying to be consistant.

i am actually booking a session at the Karts in a couple of weeks time as a bit of a chrissy do for the couple of guys i have working for me and a heap of other old mates that seem to be pretty keen to get a decent group of guys for a catch up. anyone in QLD is welcome to join in too.

hang on is TP in QLD??? if so i reserve the right correct where i said \”anyone\”

last time i think my best lap had 1 sec on the nearest driver :) gee i love it
if i had money growing up i would have loved to do it

i know V8 3 does. do you race that one?

just picked up the case and on the back it brags that not even GT4 went 10/10 like V8 3 did.

V8 3 is a massive game. if you like motorsport you will like it. i expected it to be full blooded V8’s but uhh huhh. there is racing categories i never knew even existed.
from go karts through to the F1’s of course and even the trucks for a laugh.

That was awesome. Closest I’ve come to the Ring is Gran Turismo 4. I ran the 24hour endurance race with Glenn Seton’s AU XR8, stock with super-hard tyres. My best lap time was 06:53.085. I think with a perfect lap I could go 2 secs quicker. What I found interesting was watching that video seemed like my 24 hour run.

Braking and accelerating in exactly the same spots. The two huge bumps right before corners (about 20% and 70% point of lap) the driver did exactly the same thing I do. Brake early, coast over the big bump, then full throttle around the next corner maintaining high corner speeds.

Anyone else here play GT4? I’m dying for GT5 next year (hoping it’ll have Bathurst). Has anyone beaten 06:53.085 with a V8Supercar on super-hard tyres?

Hey a stock E46 CSL M3 can do a 7.53…….

They love to rev………..I hope I sound like that in the back streets ! Wish the Cobra would rev that fast!

ive seen an M3R V8 go around from inside the car passing 911’s like they were standing still it was awesome. Does any one know of it or where i could get a copy ??
