Exotic auction in Melbourne

November 21, 2007 by Matt Brogan

Typically speaking car auctions conjure unpleasant thoughts of ex-rentals, thrashed company cars and white goods lease vehicles you wouldn’t let your dog be seen in. Not all auctions are the same.

This beautiful Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder is just one of the amazing exotics up for grabs at the upcoming Melbourne Summer Auction.

Originally $514,500 when it was purchased in June last year, the Spyder features Lambo’s stunning 5.0 litre V10 (developing 388kW), E-Gear transmission, Giallo Midas three layer metallic paint and Nero Perseus leather trim. With 10,300km on the clock, it could be yours for around the $350K mark. Bargain.

So if like me you have a thing for cars, even if your wallet (or your wife) won’t allow for a purchase, get down and have a look on Monday night. You’ll be drooling over the metal on display and staggered by the price tag these cars fetch. Well worth the look.

Been said before, and say it again.

“Anybody who buys a Lambo. over a Ferrari has rocks in there head”, esp. if you only get one chance at it in your life…

I’d probably prefer an Aston Martin when all is said and done, even if they’re not as quick, but that’s me.

Still imagine losing almost $200K in just over a year on a car – I think I’d cry if it was my money. Cool bargain for the next owner though.

the people that can afford to own these things drop 200k in the casino on a big night out
