Kia Soul spy photos
November 18, 2007 by Alborz Fallah
Kia has been busy building a cool and compact SUV – the Kia Soul. Our US-based photographers took these spy photos of the production model undergoing testing.
Initially unveiled at the 2006 Detroit Auto Show, Kia has already confirmed production plans for the US market.
Under the current circumstances an Australian release seems unlikely for the time being, nonetheless CarAdvice has asked Kia Australia for comment.
The Korean company has built the Soul to appeal to a younger market. With a pimped out stereo and aggressive styling, the Soul is definitely one Kia we we are keen to test.
The car will be powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol engine coupled to a 5-speed automatic transmission with manual shift capability. It will see American daylight late next year.

Now that’s boxy looking car! :)
Kia Soul. Sounds interesting. Just make sure you keep the emphasis on the last syllable.
Well done Kia
if thats the soul of KIA they should be ashamed
Its not bad…………not bad at all!
Just goes to show the blind and stupid are still designing vehicles and expect people to drive them.
Obviously all of these designers still have their taste and heads stuck well up their arse…….
kia is trying to make a scion xb/mini cooper… they stink
The Soul looks awesome! I haven’t seen it live yet, but plan to go and look at it as soon as it comes to the dealerships across the Europe.
Looks nice, i like it! :)
much better than scion xb!
it\’s so cute lol
i am in korea now and my sister and law has one being my wife if korean and i was in it today and yer its rather roomy and goes well 3 speakers up front one being in the middle of the dash and has a rather big boot area once the back seats layed down fits 5 dets of skis with boots poles etc and had heaps to spare.
my only grip is its rather low to the ground and being a suv i would expect a awd or 4wd and the abillity to go off road to maybe the beach or moreton island but over all i would buy one for my misses
