Audi RS8 V10 spy photos
We couldn’t think of a better car than the RS8, Audi’s hotted up R8, to begin our Australian-exclusive coverage of European and U.S. spyshots. Already home to Australian spyshots, CarAdvice has teamed up with the best in the business to bring you spyshots from around the world.
First up is the Audi RS8. For those that find the R8’s V8 just a little too small, Audi has an answer in the form of a V10 RS8. The engine is sourced from the Lamborghini Gallardo but will most likely be detuned from the Lambo’s 368kW.
Photos were taken during a high-speed test at the Nürburgring and the main visible difference to the R8 are the bigger air intakes on the sides and newly designed side skirts. We were informed the sound was nothing short of breathtaking.
Additionally, from the photos in the gallery below, there appear to be slightly larger front brakes.
Audi’s sport division - Quattro GmbH - is in charge of the RS8 project with one single aim, beat the Porsche 911 Turbo.
Although Porsche, Lamborghini and Audi are all owned by each other these days (one way or another as part of the Volkswagen Group), there is nothing wrong with a bit of sibling rivalry!

New audi r8 has to be one of the best real world supercars ever made!!! Looks brilliant, loved the idea of the twin turbo version of the gallardo engine that speculation pointed to.. Oh well damn gorgeous car and certain to fly. .

I like this website…
Though i hate it when websites start plastering their URL all over the object in the picture right over the object I’m trying to look at.

At last frugal One has made an intelligent comment……
Is it just my impression, or is AUDI accellerating it’s development of brilliant cars? Every day there’s another article about a machine to make the juices flow.
