Hi There,
I have had my Cabriolet for just over a year now, and it has been into the Ford workshop more times than I like to think. Firstly, yes it was the roof, it went back 3 times before this was fixed completely, they even had to re-align the roof.
Next was the airconditioner, cutting off all the time, they had to replace the entire inside control unit. Next whilst driving down the road, luckily not far from home, I discovered I no longer had gears,,,,mmmm important part of driving, so along came the replacement of the ENTIRE clutch kit, plate, master cylinder, yes the works. All along during this time I have also advised them that my seatbelt feels very damp after it has been raining, they said there was nothing wrong, no leaks, well guess what it still gets wet 12 months down the track, and now I have discovered that water must be building up somewhere, as today I pulled back my boot protector to put the roof down after a long wet winter and yes the mesh is all water stained,,,,,NO LEAK,,,I don't think so. Hence my car will be going back to Ford AGAIN.. Whilst it is in there they can also fix the sticking exelerator, which sometimes gets stuck on a high rev....I LOVE MY CAR...just can't wait to get rid of it in another 4 years....There goes my 40K. Oh and bye the way, Ford have been useless, I asked them to give me a free extended warranty as I have no faith this car is going to last after the Warranty ends in 3 years, but they said NO, as they do not supply that anymore, but here in Australia at the moment, they are advertising cars for sale with a FREE FORD FACTORY EXTENDED WARRANTY.........Not happy Jan. Oh and PS.... the workshop LOST my Service Book,,,,How convenient....they had to get a new one......Maybe they decided to sell them here in Oz as we apparently are in a drout.....best think again Ford, FIX the problems before you release a vehicle on any market....

Have had the FFCC for over 12 months now. Yes it leaked (just like the demo did) but all fixed, seals replaced under warranty. Not the most powerful car (also have an FG GT) but lots of fun. Seats 4 adults just OK. Jazzed it up with XR5 18" rims - gives it a sportier look. Sound system brilliant for standard. Has factory/dealer fitted iPod fitting (for L33t, in glove box). Reversing sensors as well. No head issues with the front screen. (I'm 6'+). Friend has an EOS, has bugger all boot space, even with the roof up. FFCC is just a nice little car to bum around in. No regrets, just could do with a little more grunt, or the XR5 Turbo engine.

As an owner of twoFord vehicles, one being a 1990 Capri, I took a Ford Focus cabrolet for a test drive and yep, I now own three great Ford vehicles.
Im not into racing my cars, I just love driving them and the Focus is a gem, it perform and handles like a true Ford. I love the feeling of going topless whenever I feel the urge. I live in Tassie and the roof comes off all year round....GO FORD.

I went looking at the vw eos the astra and the ford focus, I think the eos is probally the best but also so much more expensive, i kind of dont mind the look of the focus but a lot of money to spend on something you only kinda like the look of, so now i am still looking hopefully someone like toyota might bring something out to rival them heres hoping

I looked around a few models today like EOS, Puegeot 307, As(holden), mini... I was thinking to buy Eos at the end of last year thou, today i changed my mind. Ford convertible totally blew my mind. Very spacious boot, quick hardtop to topless conversion time, reasonable price(53K drive away, negocible),luxury body... :) Just one thing i a bit worried is i read some reviews abt leaking when it rains...(is it ok now?)

i'm an owner of ford focus in Greece. Reliable car in deed.
But... Ford is trying to make a step forward and at the same time doing a step backwards.
The new cabrio cc is absolutely an ugly car no matter how good is on the road. If you see it only in photos it has nothing to offer compare it to other cars. There is not any sport character on it and if you look at the rear part and the side is like a crash test.
I think ford could build better bodies for a convertible car.

I have to LOL at the negative comments that float so freely through this blog. I feel that ppl in the market for a luxury CC will love the Focus. Those not in the market will probably not. I am not in the market for a Land Crab, so i think they are the worst vehicle to have on the road in a polulated suburban area, yet ppl who need a Land Cr(ab)uiser love them. Point being, don't bag unless you can prove. THe Focus proves to have the most space, biggest boot, quickest hardtop to topless conversion time, and most features. I personally don't like Rain sensing wipers, heated seats, leather, and i think 6 stack cd players are a thing of the past (love my IPOD), so i may not look at the Focus CC, but thats my PERSONAL opinion. Official reviews state thta the focus is the best model out there BAR the fact there is no TDCi option.

Duck, the Focus is much better than the crApstra, which looks cheap and nasty, so until you have driven the Focus don't make stupid comments about Ford u big Holden lover.
