Australian for Chinese manufacturers is like a land full of sheeps. They won’t bother before they conquer EU and US. After them, OZ will surrender within seconds. Just watch after say five years… OZ still make nothing like now and still laughing at some other countries they at least make somthing..Pathetic!!

I wouldnt trust China on this.
They are just saying this so no big companies create plans to save their arses.
The EU is now protecting countries liek Italy for their huge textiles industries so china doesnt eat into it with their cheap labour. If anything Australia should be careful as aussies have a habit of buying cheap and not good.

FYI Hyundai is Korean not chinese.

Pfftt Chinese Government not implementing themselves in quality control…now theres a surprise! NOT!

I pay a quality control company in China and you still cant trust them………cars into AMERICA that become a safety problem,Chinese will simply blame someone else like they always do in production.

Until you can get quality controlled toys for your kids from them I wouldn’t be importing their cars America!

Wow looks like now holden will sign up to one of these companies and the best part they will not even have to make the crap that they are putting on our roads. China is cheaper then Korea so they would be creaming themselves over the thought of the gross profit.

The dude is correct, they won’t be flooding the west with their substandard crap.

When their own home market is saturated with the stuff, and they have a road toll of 200 or 300 million deaths a year, they may improve the quality enough to capture some other third world markets.

We don’t want or need their death traps.

I remember in school when the first Hyundai’s hit the market and how we used to laugh mercilessly at the poor schmoes that were picked up by their overweight mothers in them. Will it be our kids doing the same to their mates driving away in their little Chinese “XiangXhen Allure” or something as equally oxy-moronic in name.(Asian Brand name with a European Model designation)

To be fair Frugal, the said car above has re-taken the ENCAP and recieved 3 stars. Not to mention that there are some cars designed and made there that are quite appealing.

From what i have seen, they are rubbish, mutton dressed up as lamb.

A few that where crash-tested returned ZERO [0] in rating!

Might as well just lie down on the road and get run over, THAT bad.

All the same, if it was new and $5000 would be hard to ignore!
