Right tool for the job

November 13, 2007 by Matt Brogan

A 66-year-old man from South Kitsap, Washington (state)  in the  US became so frustrated with a thread bound wheel nut on his Lincoln Continental that he decided the use of a 12 gauge shot gun was his best hope of loosening it.

The results? Severe (but not life threatening) injuries to the front of his body spread over an area from his feet to the bottom of his chin, including some groin and abdominal injuries.

Apparently the gun was held at approximately arm’s length before the ensuing shot peppered the victim with buckshot and wheel shrapnel.

Police say he was not intoxicated and alone at the time. The wheel nut remained intact.

Only in America.

12 gauge shot gun and it still didn’t come off? He should of used a 50cal rifle. Not only would he of got it off, but he would not of been injured.

    Answer:
Some people believe that brute force fixes everything, In some community groups brute force equates to a shotgun.

My example of a Brute Force person was a mate, that was building a trampoline for his kids. He had a pair of multi-grips and trying to do it up super tight. Putting his whole body weight into it working at just below waist height, slipped of the bolt and caught a hold of the ‘nut’.

Now the ‘nut’ is a lot softer than the bolt, and this guy changes truck tires for a living…

He just went white, fell to his knees and further collapsed into the fetal position.

  12. Matt says:

LOL – Anthony I love it, reminds me of some of my mates. Funny :)
