Yep I think we all understand that......but there is a slight resemblance don't you think.

I doubt we could afford this car it seems all bespoke!

hahaha.....I don't like the 300c either but Tonyn does , he has a real wide range of tastes some I agree on others like the 300c shape I would prefer the RT CHARGER style but that doesn't come here.Much more of the Charger shapes I saw in the USA than 300c styles!

I see.. However; the name of the car doesn\'t have as much impact on sales as the way it looks. So if it was sold in the states/overseas they would simply change the name.

For Example: The Honda "Jazz" - a reasonably good looking and somewhat practical small car is Called the "Fit" in other countries and it's still selling relatively well.

Not only that.. it wouldn't matter what they called the 300C the fact that it's ugly is problaby why its not selling as well as Chrysler expected.. and from what I have read is to be or has been axed.

Tonyn: you say the Efijy has no relevance to other countries other thatn Australia.

I disagree.. The Efijy is essentially a modern version of a classic car which was built back in 1953

Now the original FJ was buitl with a fair bit of influence from cars in the USA.. cars which at the time had similar lines; curves etc.. Cars which enthusiasts turned itno Hot Rods or Street Machines.

Now the Street Machine scene in the USA is way bigger than what it is here..

Which is why if the Efijy did make it into production I believe the Yanks would love it because of the classic lines and all the things guys like Troy Trepanier; Chip Foose or even West Coast Customs could do to it..

Woz - concept cars don't have a direct impact on sales they're more of a way to raise interest as prospective buyers are able to see what a particular car company has the potential to do with current technology; design abnd construction techniques.

It's also a way of getting feedback as show goers often make comments like "I Love that ; I hate that or it would look better if it had

As they often come about when designers are allowed to let their imagination run wild and come up with what they think would be the ultimate driving machine or what we will be driving in the future

when you see a concept car; the car company hopes that it gets you thinking " if that's what can do or have the potential to.. then I might wait ansd see what cars they come up with in the future."

However; if Holden put the retro-tech Efijy into production [keep the width but shorten it slightly].. It would sell mainly because its different and has "presence"

No relevance? It was awarded best show car in north America because struck a chord with many people. Were this car to be in production it would sell its t!ts off. It's the only show vehicle that is drive ready... for anyone that has actually seen this car - it is stunning!

I think the whole idea behind showing the car is to demonstrate ingenuity, capability and imagination not relevance to market.
