wow…very nice..why doesnt ford bring down the estate versions of their euro focus and mondeo? estate wagons are still and will be always practical for those who need more lugagge space…and the way these wagons are being designed…they no longer look corney and whacky…rather nice and dare i say it…sexy!

    *****PRIMO!*****

Study the photo well, a lot of Falcon wagon will be in that!

Ford have come a long way from the Cortina, one of the 5 worst vehicles ever made.

    Pity its FWD and expensive

    Cheers

Just left you a post on the Orion page, Frugal One. I’m not so sure this is a pointer to Orion wagon. Does the Orion wagon not continue with the familiar silhouette of today’s car?

    (Report)

  4. Matt Says:

I reckon that’s one good looking wagon, better than Astra wagon by a long shot. They’re not really my kind of car, but at least this one has some style about it.

    (Report)

  5. golfschwein Says:

    Quite agree

    (Report)

  6. jbot Says:

There is a lot of Mondeo in the front too. I expect the Falcon to be fairly similar too to align itself with other Ford models.

    (Report)

  7. Myke Says:

From the back I still think the Astra wagon looks better. The Focus wagon looks too chunky from behind.

    (Report)

  8. fordman6 Says:

looks ok to me, the rear could be styled a bit better. Still a great buy overall though…

    (Report)

  9. Hendrik Says:

Ford better bring this, they are hell bent on making thier euro lineup australia’s best and they need a wagon version of this car.

The astra wagon has horrible rear styling, overall, vauxhall’s exterior design is a mess of uncoordinated angles and miss-shaped panels.

    (Report)

  10. lcat Says:

Rear styling ques on Focus wagon are similar to fiesta hatch.
New Mondeo wagon is more rakish. I wonder which option the Orion wagon will follow. Holden have gone for style over volume with the new Commodore sportswagon.

    (Report)

  11. fordman6 Says:

Orion may still have style AND volume for all we know! :) It would be a good thing too as the current rear shape is getting annoying!

    (Report)

  12. Grumps Says:

The cargo/rear end looks a bit frumpy to me, not much style.

    Front still looks fine though.

    (Report)

  13. Chris Parr Says:

Its a very good looking small wagon, I agree with Matt
much better looking than astra. AS an owner of a current
subaru liberty wagon I do like the practicality of a wagon
I still think my liberty and the AUDI RS4 avant ARE the
best looking wagons on the market…

    (Report)

  14. Bubba Ganush Says:

    i agree with you hendrick

i hope they bring this car into OZ. I dont know why they didnt bring the focus wagon into aus from the start

    (Report)

  15. Driving-Fords-Is-like-XXX Says:

It’s looks like a Mondeo wagon.

P.S. Reckless #1 idiot and one-sided view H.O.L.D.E.N Freaks suck!!

  16. golfschwein Says:

Finished University for today, have we?

  17. Driving-Fords-Is-like-XXX Says:

    ^WTF

    (Report)

  18. Naughtyius Maximus Says:

    Go de Golfschwein withya commentz!

Der peoples this is Mondeo look but on Focus model as slight differences.

    (Report)

  19. Andrew M Says:

i feel they should bring the mondeo wagon with some style to compete with the new stylish commy wagon and leave the falcon to be the level headed practical brother.

a stylish mondeo wagon would cempete much better with the commy wagon and still allow the falcon wagon to attract the serious people

    (Report)

  20. John S Says:

    hope ford brings this down…

    (Report)

  21. Shane Says:

The Focus wagon looks pretty mundane. The Astra wagon looks much better.
I don’t like the high tail lights on any Focus models, they look odd.
The Chrysler 300c wagon is still by far the best looking wagon anywhere in the world.

    (Report)

  22. Andrew M Says:

    sorry Shane,
i have to agree with Chriss parr that the audi and liberty wagons are the best looking wagons.

i also think that the focus hatch has the best looks all round including the rear. too many manufacturers tend to think a small car must have \”googly\” looking head and tail lights. this isnt so with the focus hatch

    (Report)

  23. Naughtyius Maximus Says:

Shane…so you like weird rear side windows and narrow as rear tailights on Astra wagon better - LOL

    (Report)

  24. Dieselhead Says:

Funny that. I recon this looks a bit like you Falcon and the Euro style was following your styling trends.

OK but prefer the Golf Wagon.

    (Report)

  25. golfschwein Says:

I’ve seen the Golf wagon - very heavy and clumsy looking. If they brought it here, they’d sell half a dozen.

    (Report)

  26. woz Says:

The rear of the Focus looks great, probably the best looking wagon I’ve ever seen..

DRIVING FORDS LIKE XXX IS WEIRDO

    (Report)

  28. Adam (aka Mada) Says:

To build a wagon that has style, practciality and an affordable price tag in one package is not easy.
To me focus and mondeo wagons are some vehicles that come close.
I can see why Ford of Europe is finally seeing market share increases and healthy profits.

    (Report)

  29. Duck Says:

It looks like the mondeo front on, but it could be the next generation of the ford focus

    (Report)

  30. Oz. Says:

I’m sorry, “Driving Fords is like XXX” don’t go to university, he’s still in school! :)

    (Report)

  31. Owain Ozymandias Buck Says:

“Toyota” is the security word? Oh, well. Better than the absolutely inscrutable cyphers most sites use.

But about the subject at hand. It’s good to see y’all down there want Ford’s European wagons just like some of us in the States. Maybe they can drop one off at the port of Savannah for me before the boat goes round the Horn.

If you want something that passes for a wagon in the U.S., you pretty much have to get a two ton, jacked up piece of shit. Here’s hoping for the future…

    (Report)

  32. Rob Says:

If these things hit the showroom floor in Australia this morning, I’d buy one. Especially if it was a turbo/diesel version.
