Hot on the tail of our news on the Dodge Viper SRT10 last week comes this monster, the ACR (American Club Racer) ‘Hard Core’ pack. This beast still uses the same 8.4-litre V10 as a normal SRT10, as if it’s not enough, but has been tweaked to develop 448kW.

A carbon fibre spoiler kit, including a rear spoiler which has seven levels of adjustment, will increase down force by up to a third and has also managed to reduce overall weight by 18kg. Non-essential components have been stripped out of the car including the radio and carpet.

The Hard Core pack goes on sale after the Los Angeles Motor Show at the end of this week.

*****PRIMO!*****
A monster for sure, have they fixed the brakes yet, or don’t they have bends and curves in US roads?
Just in time for the BlueDevil Vette, Ford as usual not even in the game park.
Cheers

Umm yeah, ‘*****PRIMO!*****’, whatever.
Always loved the car, but not a fan of this treatment, especially the wing. Curvaceous car though, I love that. New cars tend to be a bit blocky these days.
Ohh and 448kw is yummy too.

The Viper shown translates to 600bhp (in case any one is wondering), so yeah I reckon the Shelby would give it a fair kickin’.

Hey you know in the States they use underdrive pulleys on the Stang from the factory to help with more grunt low down, yet in OZ FPV wont cause they say it affects the internal balance of the engine. Not that it stops everyone doing it themselves!

I believe that Koenigsegg uses a Ford [pushrod] V8 in their 1000hp monster the CCX
I know Koenigsegg isn’t a part of ford but it shows how much power Ford/FPV could create if they wanted to..
