Video: Dacia Duster subjected to vigorous testing

Automobile Dacia, a Romanian car company now owned by Renault, is renowned for providing its local market with cheap car packages for those who just want to go from A to B. Here's a video of the Nissan Tiida-based Dacia Duster being put through its paces.

Watch as Dutch motoring club, ANWB (similar to our NRMA) puts this Dacia Duster through some very stringent testing to prove the car's worth. The first run is with the electronic stability control switched on and the car is able to maintain some sort of composure and stay within the marked lanes at the end. The second run, evidently more dangerous, is with the stability program switched off. The car is barely able to remain inside the marked lanes and almost tips over.

The highly forceful test is designed, purposely, to provoke the car to roll over and uncover any weakness in the car's chassis dynamics. These almost-violent slaloms prove just how effective stability control is, even on cheaper cars.
