I am the lucky owner of an old (1997) Daimler, LBV,v8,4 supercharged. An iconic car any child is able to point out as a Jag.
Having seen the new XJ models, I realize that I have to hurry to find one that still have the look of a classic Jag.
I'll never have one of theese new impersonal Jag models.Elegant I admit, but yet a mixture of a new uninteressting Bentley and a Sonata.

XJR = 400bhp, performance oriented, sports seats, grills etc.
VANDEN PLAS = focuses on the luxury side, lambs wool carpet, softer leather, chrome exterior/ interior trim etc. Not forgetting the punchy 300bhp under its hood.
SUPER V8 = Is the best of both worlds, accomodating luxury from the Vanden plas merged with powerful 400bhp engine from the XJR. Match made in heaven.
They are all gorgeous cars, owning any1 of them is an absolute pleasure.
All are unique and do not have to reinvent themselves like there german rivals to attract new market.
A SUPER V8 long wheelbase can easily be compared amongst bentley and rolls royce.

I do not understand how a retro styled 2008 Jag XJ could resemble a sonata!?
Some people will see anything!

Yep Arsenal you have done it now boy, I will now have to belt you up, please don't knock excellence, the XJ is one of the most iconic car's around thats why people from Hyundai or Chinese drop out's keep rising wisdom resorting to copying other manufacturer's for a sale, just to sieve the essence of never ending beauty does take a lowlife immaturity...
