I think this looks great - I did test drive one and it felt a really nice car to drive.
My friend has an i30 trophy and loves it.
My previous car was a hyundai lantra sedan which did nearly 200, 000 km over nearly 10 years - problem free - until suddenly dying on the freeway.
That was a great car and very easy to drive

Drove two sperate i30's as hire cars 12 months apart in the Northern Territory. I was initially very sceptical with the booking. I was that impressed with they way they drove, the build quality and the way they handled the environmental conditions that I went out and brought one!
Smoothest trasmission I have driven next to the VW/AUDI DSG system, and you get so much car for so little money. In both Bang for your Buck and reliability terms it is unbeatable.

Have had my i30 1.6 crd1 since February and now have 4000 kms o the clock. First service at 1000 kms at Pacific Hyundai Gympie, did a great job and also fitted a tow bar. Bar is well designed with hitch that slides into a receiver. did an excellent job on service and tow bar. Fuel consumption is 6 ltrs per 100kms, air always on, hoping it will improve with more kms on the clock. That is still 50 mpg in old terms. Great highway car, heaps of power. Really would recommend this car to anyone who is looking for a car with good performance, comfort and build quality.

Just picked up our new i30 slx 1.6 litre CRDI. 5 speed manuel and very pleased with the way it handles and its performance. So far have 2000 kms on the clock and it has just had its first service. No rattles or squeaks or indeed any warranty problems. Will get its next service done at 7,500 kms just to get rid of the first lot of engine oil and from then on every 15000 kms. Body wise, very happy but like most small to mid sized car these days, would hate to think what would happen if I happened to hit a kangaroo at 100 kph. There are thousands where I live so will have to drive carefully.

Hi Peter, you can buy seat covers made for seats with airbags. They have a big "hole" on the front edge / side of the seat cover. I got some for my old car at my local auto shop.
