It starts flashing if the temp goes outside normal operating range so is the same as a needle rising which is sometimes missed. A flashing light on the dash will grab your eye first.

So you are saying its not a gauge but a warning (idiot) light? Dont know if I’m too keen on that idea, by the time it lights up its too late. At least with a gauge you can see if its starting to creep up and do something about it.

It has has the temp gauge in the instrument cluster but is unlit under normal condition (like the check engine light). This warning light will illuminates when the ignition switch is turned on and will turn off after a few second.

@ THE SALESMAN (or anyone else), does the Cerato have a digital bar graph temp gauge or warning light?
The current Si model is damn good value for money.
