Range Rover Evoque undergoes final testing in big cities excluding Sydney

The final stages of the Range Rover Evoque's testing will occur on the streets of ten main cities around the world. Sydney will not be a part of the program although, the car with the Sydney livery will be driven in other countries.

Range Rover isn't shy about the testing and has fitted the ten test mules with according prototype camouflage complete with welcoming text. The camouflage is also said to be a map of the destined test route.

The publicity specials will tour Berlin, London, Madrid, Milan, Moscow, New York, Paris, Sao Paulo, Shanghai only.

The vehicles only make up a small proportion of hundreds of other pre-production cars though. Range Rover is adamant on fine tuning the car over millions of kilometres in many climates throughout the world, including the freezing Arctic to extremely hot deserts, to ensure the funky four-by-four can cope in all conditions.

Murray Dietsch, director of Land Rover programmes, said in a recent release,

"The development stage is crucial in the year leading up to launching the car. No stone is left unturned; we have a team of experienced and skilled engineers who will work to a tight schedule to ensure we have a top quality vehicle to offer our customers."

The Range Rover Evoque will go on sale at the end of 2011.
