2009 Honda Fit (Jazz) Preview

Ahead of its official reveal at the Tokyo Motor Show, Honda has released official images of the Jazz successor - the new Honda Fit.

Building on the previous generation's reputation for quality, efficiency and sporting nature, the new Honda Fit is set to launch in Japan on October 26th.

The new Fit has been stretched by 2 inches and the A-pillars moved forward, adding to cars interior space.

The increased room has allowed for "Ultra Seats", which can be arranged in four different configurations including a Refresh mode which turns the interior into a bed - perfect.

The Honda Fit will be available with either a 1.3-litre or optional 1.5-litre engine.

Impressively, buyers will also have the option of either front or all-wheel drive, as well as a five-speed automatic, a five-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission.

Pricing in Japan will begin at around AU$11,140 and reach AU$16,600 for the top of the line model.

Honda will retain the Jazz name in Australia.
