Well guys.. The Swift Sport (not just a badge) is without the a doulbt the best car I have owned and I have had a 37 cars, everything from a Audi TT to a Landrover Series 3. The Swift Sport is nothing like the base Swift Model. The sub-frame has been streghthened, suspensision modified and break system upgraded. The build quality is excellent. I purchased this car new in 2007 and have flogged it everyday to work since. The car has never let me down and I have never had this car faulter in a courner. Yes you may say I'm not pushing it hard enough.. I have had the inside rear wheel lift of the ground and yet the car still maintains a clean line through the bend. Yes agree lacking power down low but I'm not into straight line drag racing. This car will be getting me to work for many years after the filthy XR4 is on the scrapheap.

Alborz,

Suzuki can't use the GTI badge anymore as VW has a Patent on the GTI symbol hence the Sport badge.

I very recently bought a Suzuki Swift Sport, best little car I have owned ... only little car I have ever owned! Always driven a big "solid" "family" car until I decided I wanted a nifty little number! An amazing little mover!!!

They tried to copy the Swift roof and windows but ended up with this mess called the Fabia!
I am sure the performance will be good but it will be almost $8k more than the Swift, and the Suzuki will kill it for reliability and handling!

I bought a brand new Swift which I have always enjoyed driving, however, they fitted a Cruise Control that has never worked I have now had 3 new servos and still no luck. Any similar complaints???

They are now going to fit a totally new CC from another company....The suzzie people have been great but this has been very frustrating.

Hi All, I test driven both XR4 and Swift Sport recently and I really have to say the Swift Sport wins in this comparo. Pluses for the Swift Sport includes very strong Braking sytem which does not fade, quality interior, its ability to eat corners after corner and finely tuned ESP system is an eye opener.

As of Power, you'll need to invest in sport air intake and replace standard catalytic converter. You'll be surprise how much more responsive the car is, specially on top end of the rev (not to mention the sweet sounds coming out, its a music in my ear).

I do agree that tiny gas pedal makes it really hard to do heel and toe, while XR4 makes it like a second nature due to execellent pedal size and placing.

The biggest problem I found about XR4 while driving hard is that ESP cannot be switched off completely, ESP will still kicks in every time you're trying to exit a corner quickly which I found very annoying.

I dont know alot about cars but i brought a suzzie (2007 model) just in standard and i think they are the best cars, i think they are better quailty then alot of small cars getting around these days- you can just tell when you drive it - its smooth and its just so zippy!
i think its the best thing i have done! :) although i paid $19,000 for it for a standard automatic i am most happy i did! :)
