I have thoroughly enjoyed the commercials, and am glad that this back and forth is out there to prove that others have enjoyed this back and forth as well. I agree, both marketing teams should be commended. But note the World Car of the Year in its inaugural year was indeed the Audi A6. I have one with the V8 and trust me I am glad Audi is finally getting into the commercial business, so others can be made aware of what a joy it is to drive. Especially for the discriminating in performance, passion, and luxury, not just one of the "common" names. I eagerly await the next strike.

So much for it being a drivers car! More like lazybones who cant park!

BMW do one where say you need to get in a tight spot like garage, you get out of the car in front of the garage shut the door and it will drive in itself, that would come in handy! Would stop me having to say to the kids,"watch the doors when you open the" still a wank though.I though guys liked gimmicks?

This Park Assist is for people who are pure lazy. To be honest if you can't be bothered parking your car, you should sit in the backseat and make someone else drive you around.

Funny haha.

BTW Reckless1,

I love Audi and respect their quality and performance cars, but I love Lexus too... looking at your post and hatred for Lexus, you forgot to mention that the past decade or so, since Lexus has been established, well its over a decade now, but the point is, the last decade alone, Lexus have improved year in and year out and has won quality awards and "Best" in the world awards. All with about a fraction of Audi's experience in the "middle-high" class vehicle category.

56 models you say?... and how many of them actually matter? you're counting entry level vehicles that is not even on the same class as the Lexus entry levels...

And, that statement about "expensive-Toyota"... again another ignorant post and thought... if you go by that thinking... then most of the luxury brands become "expensive-Ford", "expensive-GM", "expensive-Fiat".. etc.
You get the point. Toyota Motors is actually just a child of the Toyota Industries, which consists of many more companies... Once again, Lexus is BENCHMARKED against the Germans.... meaning their built, materials, parts, suppliers are all in the same tier as the Germans.... same class parts... same performance targets..

Its rather simple.... Car manufacturers they manufacture certain components in-house, most parts that are classified as industry standards, meaning must meet SAE regulations yada yada yada, well those components are manufactured by suppliers, again suppliers differentiate by countries, in this case, Lexus and Audi have their tech centers, the major ones at Europe somewhere, now doesnt matter who, but they all do it to each other, they benchmark each other, copy each other's nifty ideas, changing it enough to beat the patents, but in the end the steel grades, the tolerances on under body and upper body components, the suppliers... they end up the same or similar.... since they all designing and making cars based on each other's models.... So yes... Lexus at this point IS on the same league as Audi... not so much in the High performance cars, as Lexus has just began their assault on that class as of recent years...

Geez, most Audis are just tarted up VWs anyway.

Whatever pedestrian Audi you are looking at, you can generally find a VW that is cheaper and just as good.

Chaser, so what if Lexus put 8 gears in a transmission.

Remind me again what races thay have won, and what use are 8 speeds in an auto anyway.

Quattro is a much more useful invention than 1 or 2 extra gears, which is not an invention. It's just a development.

As I said, with only 6 models, they have plenty of time on their hands.

I didn't say they were no good, which you have wrongly assumed, just that they aren't superior to Audi and will never capture anywhere near the market Audi has.
