With the Porsche 911 evolution video posted yesterday, today we take a look at the the inspiration behind one of the world’s most sought-after cars, the Mercedes McLaren SLR 722.

According to Mercedes, the 722 badge comes from the 7:22 am starting time of the 1955 Mille Miglia in which Mercedes driver Stirling Moss came first.
