2010 Bentley Supersports Convertible

Need a car to take to the ball? How about Bentley's latest and greatest, the Supersports Convertible?

The 6.0-litre twin-turbo W12 engine is sure to get you there on time with its 463kW of power. It'll also reach 100km/h in just 4.1 seconds, Bentley says, and go on to a top speed of 325km/h.

The car also comes equipped with an increased rear track of 50mm over the Continental GT and GTC to maintain high speed stability. Carbon-ceramic brakes anchor the road yacht while carbon fibre sports front seats and shadow grey 20in wheels give it a finishing touch.

It's been one year since Bentley released the Supersports Coupe. Normally Bentley releases an update every eight months, but due to the results of internal research, the company says owners usually buy a new model every 12 to 18 months. Charming.

Head of Bentley exterior design, Raul Pires, explains what the Supersports is all about, "The Supersports Convertible and Coupé are the ultimate driver's Bentleys and that is reflected in unique design cues that provide a bold, sporting look, from whatever angle the cars are admired. Even from 50 metres behind on a dark road, you can just tell it's a Supersports."
