Frugal One is quite right, although the SAAB's look good and represent an overall good package their quality has declined since GM took ownership. I have had eight SAAB's and have seen the quality decline since GM took ownership. I recently traded my SAAB 95 estate for another car make because my wife's current model convertible has had a number of build quality issues I have not previously experienced with a SAAB. I think GM have no idea what to do with SAAB and will lose sales until they commit themselves to building a quality vehicle. In the interim Holden prestige buyers have benefitted from many SAAB safetly/comfort features so I guess somebody is a winner.

The difference is though that GM didn't own all of Subby. With Saab however GM owns the whole company.

The sooner SAAB [And VOLVO] are back in Swedish hands the better.

I will NEVER buy one when its owned by NFI Yanks and just cloned GM product underneath.

Can happen, Subaru where part owned by GM, how back in sage Jap hands, Toyota actually!

Cheers
