Volvo V70 T6 AWD R-Design by Heico Sportiv

By Anthony Crawford |

They also tune Volvo’s in Germany and none better than those by the Volvo specialists at Heico Sportiv who has unleashed their 243 kW (330 bhp) V70 T6 R-Design family wagon with a stump pulling 460 Nm of torque.

That’s enough to propel this V70 T6 from 0-100km/h in just 5.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 250km/h (limited).

Average fuel consumption of 10.6 litres per 100 kilometres is achieved through the implementation of Heico Sportiv e.Motion technology, which includes a supplementary engine control unit with enhanced engine management.

Heico Sportiv has over 20 years experience in tuning and racing a host of Volvo models and from 2008 became an official partner with Volvo car Germany GmbH.

While we genuinely like the styling of the standard V70 T6 AWD, Heico have added a few muscular design cues of their own, which see the car lowered by an additional 30mm thanks to Hieco Sportiv’s sport suspension, shock absorbers and springs for extra sharp handling.

The car also gets a set of 19-inch graphite look five-spoke alloys shod with Pirelli 245/35 rubber all round although, you also receive the original Volvo R-Design 18-inch wheels with Pirelli winter tyres as part of the Heico Sportiv package.

Apart from the very tasty R-Design interior features, such as doorsills and bumpers in matching car colour, roof spoiler, door mirror casing in matt chrome optic, Heico have added a few interior features including a machined aluminium/leather shifter and an edition plaque for the dashboard to name but a few of these.

The car has just gone on sale in Germany with a EUR 70,193 price tag.

I wonder if Volvo is still sticking to the crap GM sourced geartronic.

      Sorry chaps,

Heico Sportiv have adapted the standard six-cylinder straight-type turbo petrol engine from Volvo. It puts out 210 kW (281 bhp) and 400 Nm in stock form.

Considering for MY11 models, Volvo has improved the standard T6 engine to 224kW/440Nm (with about a 10% reduction in fuel usage), this improvement by Heico isn’t that impressive.

Transmission is the stock six-speed auto with geartronic, so nothing special there unless Heico Sportiv have altered the gearing, which I doubt but will confirm with them tomorrow.
