Lotus Exige S Roadster unveiled
The Lotus Exige S Roadster has been unveiled at the Geneva motor show, combining the grunt and agility of the V6-powered coupe with the thrill of open-air motoring.
The new model marks the first time an Exige has been offered with a factory-fitted soft-top roof, which has been designed in typically lightweight fashion.
Lotus: New Cars 2012
After Lotus’s new Australian distributor slashed prices in August, the brand is looking to fight back with strong sales in 2012. Lotus expects the launch of new automatic Evora and Elise variants to boost the brand’s total sales from approximately 70 in 2011 to well over 100 in the New Year.

“It doesn’t get any better than this.” How many times have we heard those words? Sometimes used in the literal context; more often, with a hint of sarcasm. This time around, though, it sums up things oh-so succinctly and sweetly.

2012 Lotus Exige S gets 3.5 V6, unveiled at Frankfurt Motor Show
Lotus has unveiled the 2012 Lotus Exige S at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. The new model is larger and features a 3.5-litre V6 engine. It also gets smooth new panel contours and a new DPM Lotus driving management program.

Wonder how long it will take people to get on here to talk about this car should have options included as standard like recent topic on Aston Martin. Hot car and curvy; bit of a chick magnet. Nice colour too!

Lotus did do a good job with the eye candy, the car and the girls. I’ve always had a soft spot for the Exige and Elise, I know they’re wildly impractical and expensive, but they are just so crazy that you don’t care about all the impracticality.

Idiot Klink. This is a stripped-out car designed for the track, nothing like an Aston.

While the 211 is a stripped out track car the Elise and Exige are entirely practical every day cars for people who don’t really need more than two seats. They are also surprisingly cheap to run. While not cheap, the lower spec models are not particularly expensive with a starting price of $70k
My only concern is that Lotus is putting more features into the road cars.

That’s one hell of a car i must say, the color is amazing, and i’m not much for yellow, but damn… lotus, the minute you hear the name you no damn well that its worth taking a look at.
Me.
I feel so, so sorry for people that buy a Lotus because they think it’s another Ferrari or Lambo. These cars are just for racing against each other like in the Lotus Trophy.

The 2 eleven in the background is so HOT! It even looks better in real life. What a car. Pity its not roadworthy in Aus.
Oz.
A lotus was in a crash today at the Australia day rally, I don’t know if it was a Elise or an Exige nor do I know how badly the car was damaged, but it certany was more than a scratch.
The rally went off into 2 convoys, the group it was in went north into the Lota area in Brisbane. I know a Lotus ain’t no supercar like a Lambo but it’s really upsetting to know that.
