The WRC Focus looks way better.

  2. alborz says:

In the flesh, the Evo X – stock – looks better than this WRC car!

  3. Thanks Alborz…you lucky bugger view cars and chicks. Nice cars there, I do like the Sportswagon! So there we have it, the views on STi hero car is polarised and negative much more so then positive. The Evo X will sell as it is a cool car! The STi is plain and FUGLY AS!!!!

  4. Nick says:

read various forums around…i have found many people quite like the ‘08 STI….

frankly, apart from the agressive front, the Evo X looks quite bland to me…

  5. pr33toz says:

….yes Nick, but the subie is bland all over. these cars still are nowhere near the design excellence of my honda civic, which is a bit bland on the outside but awsome on the inside

  6. Nick says:

if you are talking about the new type r civic, i think that is an example of japanese styling gone right!

  7. Toyota Paul says:

Meh I dont rate the Civic type R and either does a honda crazy friend of mine, saw one in person at the dealer and close up its abit to much for me. The STi as said has been rated by people in other forums, I rate it WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE DECENT PHOTOS OF IT and if the WRX is anything to go off, in person it will also look better. The WRC WRX does look ordinary though.

  8. Jamison says:

I like it… as the STi is almost the same exterior shape as the WRC, with the main difference at the bumper front.

The EVO is nice looking, but its primarily the front angles that makes it the way it is.

The new STi wide stance, especially when lowered 1-2 inches, looks as good as any super-hot hatches from both europe and japan. Of course if you plan to drive it in more rugged terrains you won’t lower it. But for me personally, I live nearby cities and I like to visit the tracks… so if I had the new Sti I would lower it and get wider wheels, but thats just me.

The WRC images just confirms what the new STi has the potential to look like… I still like the new EVO but not unique enough outside the front bumper… maybe if they made the front fenders and rear fenders wider and gave it a wider track, I like the “wide” look as you can tell.

  9. wheelnut says:

It’s good to see al least one Subie has the characteristic flared front guards of previous models

Yet Subaru should offer the WRC bodykit as an option [on RS and WRX models] as the rear decklid spoiler not only draws your attention from the [bizarre looking] front of of the car but also acts as a sun-shade for rear seat passengers. There should also be Driving lights in the air dam.

  10. Bavarian Missile says:

Hey Wheel nut they probably need the airflow, same reason the new M3 doesn’t have any spotties!

    I like the new Scooby………….

  11. wilmag says:

Subaru has never, repeat never been known for design, its performance that really counts fellas, this is why we all love it and if it performs, that is, eating up bimmas and evos for breakfast then I’ll love it even more, if it doesn’t that’s another story. I think it would look better if it were a 3 door intead of a 5 door hatch and with a bigger more radical rear spoiler.
