Mercedes-Benz SL 65 Black Series-based Brabus Stealth 65

By Tim Beissmann |

When you’re as good at making one-off high performance beasts as German tuning house Brabus, you can be excused for making quite a few one-offs.

Its latest creation is the Brabus Stealth 65: a white Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series-based road rocket.

Brabus has applied its T65 RS tuning kit to the 6.0-litre AMG biturbo V12 which includes four intercoolers and reworked turbines, as well as a remapped ECU and a new stainless steel exhaust.

The result is a car that puts out 603kW of power and an epic 1420Nm of torque. Comparatively speaking, that’s 15kW more than Brabus’ previous one-off SL 65 creation, the Vanish, and 110kW/420Nm more than the standard Black Series from AMG.

Brabus has not released performance data for the Stealth, but it is expected to at least match the sub-3.6 second 0-100km/h sprint and electronically limited 322km/h top speed of the Vanish.

Surprisingly or not, the owners of the Stealth and the Vanish both live in the same village in Dubai, which could make the morning dash for milk at the corner store just a little bit more interesting.

i would love to try and drift that car

    • Meh

‘Try’ being the key word in that sentence. That is a ridiculous amount of torque.

Pretty standard operating procedure for Brabus. Take one Mercedes donor car that is already at the limit of its chassis capabilities and add a ridiculous amount of power and silly looking plastic body add-ons. The Brabus SL 6.3 is basically undriveable; this will be even worse.

Wow it looks awesome! I can’t wait until I get to Dubai and see cars like this!

    too much oil money!

too much brainwashing and stereotyping. dubai doesn’t depend onoil. if it did, it would not have borrowed money from abdu dhabi. And even if it did, the oil producers like BP make more money than the country just like supermarkets make more than the fruit growers or farmers. this house could belong to an importer/exporter which is what made dubai.

they DID depend on oil. The reason they borrowed all the money was to get away from oil and onto Tourism. And hasnt that worked well.
