2019 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe/Cabriolet pricing and specs

Petrol-only range now on sale with upgrades across the board.

Full pricing and specifications for the updated 2019 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe and Cabriolet have been detailed this week, with prices starting at $67,900 before on-road costs.

Like the related C-Class Sedan and Estate ranges, the updated two-door models get refreshed styling, revised powertrains and upgraded technology across the line-up.

Kicking off the range is the C200 ($67,900), which gets the AMG Line package as standard – including exterior styling, 18-inch AMG alloys, sports seats, stainless steel pedals, and a sports leather steering wheel.

You also get a 12.3-inch digital instrument binnacle, a 10.25-inch 'Audio 20' navigation system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, DAB+ digital radio, leatherette upholstery, along with electric front seat adjustment including lumbar support and memory.

There's also full-LED headlights, a 360-degree camera system, dual-zone climate, Black Ash open-pore wood trim with aluminium cabin inserts, keyless start, ambient lighting, sports suspension, nine airbags, front/rear parking sensors, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring and a tyre pressure monitor.

Power in the entry-level coupe and convertible comes from a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine making 135kW of power and 280Nm of torque bolstered by "EQ Boost' mild-hybrid technology. Claimed fuel consumption is 6.4L/100km for the coupe and 6.8L/100km for the convertible.

Next in the range is the C300, priced from $84,990 plus on-road costs. Additional specification includes leather upholstery, 19-inch alloys, a 13-speaker Burmester sound system, the upgraded Comand Online navigation with high-resolution display, privacy glass (coupe only), and keyless entry with automatic boot closing (coupe).

Also included is the Driving Assistance Plus package, which brings adaptive cruise control with stop/go, AEB with cross-traffic function, active blind-spot assist, active lane-keep assist, evasive steering assist, active lane-change assist, and Pre Safe Plus, along with traffic sign recognition.

The C300 gets a 2.0-litre turbo four making 190kW and 370Nm. Fuel consumption for this powertrain is TBA.

Stepping up to the AMG C43 brings the base price to $111,900, and brings a nappa leather AMG Performance flat-bottom steering wheel, head-up display, heated front seats, wireless smartphone charging pad, 19-inch AMG bi-colour alloys, AMG Ride Control sports suspension, LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof (coupe), the AMG Night package, and a sports exhaust system.

Power comes from a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 making 287kW and 520Nm, while the C43 is the only C-Class variant to be equipped with 4Matic all-wheel drive. Fuel consumption is rated at 9.5L/100km for the coupe and 10.0L/100km for the drop-top.

Finally, the AMG C63 S (from $164,900) adds the Air Balance ionisation and fragrance system, leather/microfibre AMG Performance steering wheel, Digital TV tuner, nappa leather upholstery, an IWC analogue clock, staggered 19/20-inch (front/rear) forged alloys in matte black, AMG dynamic engine mount, AMG performance exhaust system, an electronic rear diff lock, composite brakes, and red-painted brake calipers.

Headlining the flagship model's spec sheet, however, is the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 living under the bonnet. Outputs are rated at 375kW and 700Nm, while fuel consumption is listed as TBA.

In addition to the specifications listed above, the C-Class Cabriolet gets some unique equipment items compared to its hard-topped equivalent.

The C200 Cabriolet (from $88,400) adds a head-up display, natural leather upholstery, metallic paint, and Multibeam LED headlights over the C200 Coupe, while also bringing Aircap draught-stopping technology, and rollover protection.

Opting for the C300 Cabriolet (from $101,900) gets you heated front seats, Airscarf neck-level heaters, and a 'partially automatic' boot separator for the folding fabric roof.

Meanwhile, the AMG C43 Cabriolet (from $124,900) and AMG C63 S Cabriolet (from $182,900) get the aforementioned convertible-specific equipment over their coupe counterparts.

As with the sedan and wagon, there are a wide range of extra-cost options and packages available across the C-Class Coupe and Cabriolet line-up, though there are too many to list.
