Mercedes-Benz Hexawheel Concept

Iranian engineer Siyamak Rouhi Dehkordi has created the Hexawheel concept, an extreme off-road vehicle that combines Mercedes-Benz design with a six-wheels layout and flexible frame.

Targeted at those who need to move in extremely difficult conditions and terrains, the Hexawheel’s flexible frame that has a ground clearance of 46cm, can overcome large obstacles with ease.

Dehkordi’s industrial Mercedes-Benz inspired design, which uses angular shapes, operates on a hydraulic system, where the diesel engine is coupled with a flexible hydraulic power transmission system.

The dimensions of the six-wheel, all-wheel drive Hexawheel, total a length of 4.8 metres with two equal wheelbases of 0.95 metres.

The Hexawheel, which was inspired by the jointed structure in insects distributes its weight among the three axles.

Siyamak Rouhi Dehkordi, a 35 years old Mechanical Engineer, working for the Iranian car company Saipa-Zamyad, is no stranger to Car Body Design, with his Ferrari Zobin design study in 2008 being viewed more than 16,000 times.
