By George Skentzos |

Mitsubishi Australia has announced the release of its special edition Mitsubishi Outlander ACTiV SUv, complimenting the recent introduction of the Mitsubishi Pajero ACTiV.

The special edition Mitsubishi Outlander ACTiV is based on the LS Outlander but also adds a number of features and equipment over the standard model.

The exterior boasts bigger 18-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps and black roof rails with roof rail cross bars, as well as a stylish black front centre grille and chrome exhaust tip.

On the inside, the Outlander ACTiV features privacy glass and automatic air-conditioning as well as the addition of reverse parking sensors and Bluetooth.

The Mitsubishi Outlander ACTiV is powered by a 2.4-litre four cylinder MIVEC engine which delivers 125kW and peak torque of and 226Nm, mated to either a five-speed manual or a continuously variable automatic transmission.

Standard safety features include a reinforced impact safety evolution (RISE) body, active stability control (ASC), active traction control (ATC), multi-mode anti-lock breaking system and electronic brake force distribution (EBD).

A seven seat variant of the Outlander ACTiV is also available to customers, with the full range benefiting from Mitsubishi’s comprehensive five-year/130,000 whole vehicle warranty, backed up by its 10-year/160,000 km powertrain warranty and a five-year/130,000 km roadside assistance package

How many Activs do they need to release every year?!?

  • DDH

    How much is it George?

Ive got the Mitsubishi brochure that came in the mail box the other day, 33,990 drive away.

If you ask me thats bloody good value

The Lancer Activ at 21,990 is also good value.

I think Mitsubishi is seriously overlooked for the value it represents.
They certainly seem to be able to package it competively with the Korean rivals.
Mitsu hands down for value in my book.

Mitsu is value for money. On top of that the product quality is exceptional can’t go past the 5/10 year Warranty. With new ASX due in July, the ASX could be priced around $25k mark. The Challenger is offering a 7seat 4WD for around $45k mark, lot cheaper than the AWD 7 seat Kluger

Asx looks interesting pricewise…..but I have to say a 7 seat Kluger Kx-R can be purchased for less than 45k..
      5 seater significantly less.

I don’t know the equipment levels of the Challenger.. but for a base level, Kluger imo , pretty damn well equipped.
Admittedly the challenger is a diesel.

Worry about having to use the 5yr warranty with the following item standard “multi-mode anti-lock breaking system”.

I didnt know Mitsu had a “breaking” system, I see how you may be concerned by that.
