Comments on: 2008 Audi S5/A5

I drove this Audi last week. I am a Lexus fan and have been so for years. My wife amd I have had 10 all told over the last 15 years (LS,GS,ES,IS.RX). I am looking for something more exciting and with real grunt but also with luxury and quality like Lexus. I think I have found it. This is one smooth car. Can’t understand what they say about the suspension being too harsh. I didn’t find it to harsh for the luxo sports that this is supposed to represent. Rear room in a coupe like this will always be a bit tight but only for the over 6 footers. I think this really hits the spot for me and I’m going to buy one.

if you compare c63 it is the same price as RS4, your not comparing apples with apples, S5 is designed to compete with 335 and clk 500.

Yeh good but compared to what? Next year when C63 comes out, it will be around $150k and have 336KW. Also IS-F will be around $130k range and have around 310KW. $130K for a detuned 260KW RS4 engine? Thats why NO ONE buys S4.

have driven one and the engine is quite good, had a drive with a mate behind in his 335 and the S5 was pulling away… i think this is a great package, and i think the engine is quite good

I saw one yesterday in Melb city. Looks good, but the engine is MEHHH~~ Cant people wait for RS5?
