Spanish Supercar on the streets of Madrid

The GTA Spano is a bona fide supercar, designed and built by the successful race car manufacturer GTA Motor in Valencia, Spain.

This week it was spotted in Spain’s capital, Madrid where it proved city driving is no problem for this wickedly quick car.

Yes, wickedly quick is right. Armed with an 8.3-litre supercharged V10 rear-mounted longitudinally, this road going missile is said to do more than 350km/h and accelerate from 0-100km/h is 2.9 seconds, making it one of the world’s fastest cars.

In-gear acceleration should be no problem either, with just on 920 Newton-metres of torque on tap.

While CarAdvice has already track tested the prototype car last year at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Valencia, we look forward to a drive in the production car later this year and testing the car’s performance criteria.

I doubt grip or stopping power will ever be an issue either, at least not from the rear end, with massive Pirelli PZero 335/30 ZR20’s on the rear corners and six-pot stoppers on carbon ceramic rotors from AP Racing rounding out the package.

The body is a super exotic composition of a carbon fibre Kevlar honeycomb and titanium.

Even the shifter is part carbon fibre if you opt for the six-speed sequential manual or H-pattern transmissions, although, there is also a choice of an automatic with paddle shifters.

We look forward to bringing you more on the GTA Spano in due course.
