LOL – A relative of mine works for BMW. He constantly tells me that the service department is always busier then the showroom. He works for them, but he swares he would never buy one. That’s right, and he’s the one who sells them to us!!
Any of my friends who have owned Beemers, and now don’t, have very good reasons on why they don’t now own one.

WTF……………Mmmmmmmmmmmm, So you have one bad experience from BMW and tar them all with one brush…..pffttt. I’ve had six,all from new ones that had done 170,000 klm to my current M3 and driven the guts out of them….never anything more than serviceable parts that are no more expensive than Holdens or Fords sometimes . You know what it costs for a wiper blade for a VE Commodore? $50…………why cause you have to buy the whole arm!Stop your complaining ! I have worked in a workshop environment and BMW are not bad cars like you portray them. The 1 series fills yet another void that BMW is trying to fill in the luxury car market!

More affordable; at first. People are going to get themselves in toruble buying a “cheap” bmw without thinking of whats to come. Expensive parts and servicing…goodluck with that!! Mate purchased a NEW 5 series, and didn’t even make it home without the gearbox giving up…WTF??? And that’s one of MANY stories.

Love it! This is now one of my favourite BMW models. It also makes a BMW convertible so much more affordable for more people.
