Subaru Release Second STi Teaser
September 29, 2007 by George Skentzos
In the lead up to the 2008 Subaru WRX STi’s official reveal, Subaru has released yet another darkened teaser image.
This time we are given a clear view of the rear of the car where immediately the quad pipes, rear diffuser and larger spoiler are instantly recognisable.
It also seems the Subaru Technica International model may have done away with the factory altezza lights and chrome garnish in favour of a more darker theme.
For your viewing pleasure and convenience, here is the first teaser image.

hmmm…i lightened up the photo on photoshop and it does seem as if the tail lights are still clear…maybe a little darker though, so far it looks like some of the magazine concepts ive seen
daewoo will never have seen its lanos look so hot.
It’s not a lanos.
I think the lights may be black versions of the clear tails. The car definitely looks more muscular than the standard WRX.
Garbage in garbage out… OK that was a bit rough, but after seeing the WRX in the flesh today in Melbourne I don’t hold high hopes.
All will be revealed next month in October. It is unlikely to look as good as the Evo X although I am sure performance will be on par…not so sure about the spoiler on the roof – I think an after market spoiler closer to the style used on the rally car may help things along in the looks department. Still typical Subaru fugly though….
not sure how legal a spoiler like the wrc one would be…you wouldnt be able to see out the back window!
If you pack a boot full of stuff you cant see out the back window either…. not so sure that seeing out the back window is a prerequisite for legality :-)
