Hyundai i30 Coming Soon
September 27, 2007 by Alborz Fallah
CarAdvice is heading to the launch of Hyundai’s latest car, the new Elantra based i30 hatchback early next month, but before we bring you a first steer, here is a good video of the car filmed in Germany.
Although based on the newly-introduced Elantra sedan, the German styled hatchback has undergone a completely separate development, with Hyundai’s Sales and Marketing Director Kevin McCann stating “It’s going to surprise everyone – not least our competitors.”
Preparing for an all-out assault on the small hatch market, the Korean company has spent the last few months testing the i30 in Australia against its local competitors.
The question still remains, will the i30 succeed? A few more weeks and we’ll have the answer for you.

Looks a lot better than an elantra!
but it also looks like a korean fronted 1 series bmw…. and that cant be a great thing!
Looks OK, except for the poxy centre dash with its focus on the aircon knob/buttons.
Hi,
Yeah I saw one the other day on the road – looks pretty good in the “flesh”.
sister car kia cee’d gets higher rating from uk press
and i think the kia’s body treatment looks a lot more cohesive.
Does anyone know if kia will import the cee’d?

The C’eed is much better looking, this thing has a Euro-Wannabe look.
I was under the impression the i30 wasn’t coming to Australia?
Looks like a good daily!
