Mazda RX-8 SP repaired and ready for Targa High Country event
At this year's Targa Tasmania, Australia's only factory-backed rotary Mazda race car was forced out of the event after colliding with a competitor's car. The Mazda RX-8 SP has been fixed though and is ready to return to racing. It will compete at the all-new upcoming Targa High Country race event in November.

Hyundai i30 at Targa Tasmania - Video

    I hope the police will not be in the Targa Tasmania.Infact ALL police in every State should be banned in entering ANY car competition.They cause grief on the roads and then they’re allowed to enter events such as this…tell them to bugger off!

      I think he has a point. They harp on about speed kills, but as we see every year, these hundreds of cars speed up and down thin stiprs of tarmac and we dont see them dying left right and center.

        Please… targa is a game for the rich, it has nothing to do with driving skill. 80% of the competitors drive like wankers, which is good because they know to drive within their (low) limits. Targa is boring to watch except for the few heavily sponsored drivers who are giving it all.

    That Audi TT RS would be a great Targa Tas car.. I couldn’t think of many cars better for your average motoring enthusiast to punt around Tasmania in the varying conditions of road and weather..

    A 2010 Porsche Turbo S would be nice too… ; )
