I have not yet seen a Mondeo XR5T on the roads, but the base models look nice on the road. So I wonder what the XR5T looks like.

6 speed auto in lx,zetec and tdci, 6speed manual in XR5T. lx sedan only,XR5T hatch only, sedan and hatch in others. shame no manuals in lower models

I hope they sort out the AWD drivetrain for the focus. Rumours are that they working on the S40 AWD platform which abviously uses the same V5T engine doubt it go into the mondeo though.

The mondeo looks good in the shots, another mid size choice. Normal engines should be way better than some others on the market.

maybe you had wires crossed and meant base mondeo cheaper that XT.

Cheaper than a Falcon XT? That would make the Focus XR5 more expensive than the Mondeo XR5 – sorry, I find that very, very hard to beleive.

i have news….no wagon, no manual other than XR5T, 4 models in the range, prices are very good, XR5T cheaper than falcon XT!!!!!

The pipes look cool that wouldn’t stop me from buying the Mondeo or any car, you can easily modify the pipes to your satisfaction and from looking at the Mondeo pictures not a hard custom job here at all.

I notice so many people making negative comments about the down facing exhausts. Here’s some food for thought.

In my younger days I had a Jaguar S type (year 1966) which had dual straight exhaust. They looked great but if you put something big in the boot which meant the boot had to stay open while you were driving you finished up getting the exhaust gases coming into the passenger compartment.

What you might find is the down turned exhaust on the Mondeo are that way so you minimise any chance of exhaust gases in the passenger area. Oh you could argue that there are a lot of cars with dual straight exhaust out there now but I bet no one has had their boot open while they are driving.
