Hyundai Sonata, Grandeur recalled over ABS fault

10,617 vehicles affected


Hyundai has recalled 10,617 cars built between 2004 and 2013 across the Sonata and Grandeur model lines, over concerns water could short circuit the ABS circuit board.

Hyundai says there's a fire risk if the ABS board is short circuited as a result of the fault.

Affected Sonata and Grandeur sedans were sold between August 18 2004 and December 12 2013. A VIN list is attached here.

Hyundai will contact owners of the affected vehicles of the affected vehicles, and advise them to contact their dealer for a fix.
